APKV Diffusers: Pressure Loss
Operating principle of Tube Air Diffusers:
Tube Air Diffuser APKV consists of two pipes inserted into one another with an air gap between them. The outer pipe is called a disperser and is produced from LDPE by the pneumatic extrusion process. This results in a pipe material consisting of numerous interconnected pores through which air flows. The inner pipe is made of PVC and is perforated. The gap between two pipes is divided with cross-ring inserts providing uniform air supply throughout the diffuser.
1 – Perforated pipe, PVC
2 – Fibro-porous disperser, LDPE
3 – Cross ring insertion, LDPE
The supply air enters the space between the inner and outer pipes through the openings in the inner pipe. The air is then evenly dispersed into the aerated liquid through the “fibro-porous” outer pipe forming numerous and consistent fine bubbles. This ensures consistent and uniform air distribution in the aerated liquid and provides superior aeration efficiency with minimal energy cost.
Threaded diffuser joints are fixed at both ends of the diffuser featuring simple installation in branches.
