Esmil Fiber Tube Diffusers

Categories:

Esmil Fiber Tube Diffusers are durable, efficient, and maintenance-free. They are characterized by high oxygen transfer efficiency, long-term performance, and easy installation with low CAPEX.

The Innovative Fiber Technology of Esmil diffusers combines the fine bubble efficiency with the durability of coarse bubble diffusers.

Advantages of Esmil Fiber Tube Diffusers

  • Fine bubbles (2-3 mm) for high efficiency and effective sludge mixing.
  • Low head loss due to optimal -nano pore size.
  • Strong resistance to bio-fouling, no cleaning or membrane replacement needed.
  • Reduced capital costs from a wide operational range and simple installation.
  • Extremely robust design with two pipes: an outer porous pipe for air dispersion and an inner pipe for strength.
  • Equal air distribution over distances up to 20 meters.
  • Resistant to bio-chemical impacts common in wastewater treatment.

Performance

One linear meter of Fiber Tube Air Diffuser is approximately equivalent in performance to 2-3 Membrane Disc Diffusers.

Standard Oxygen Transfer Efficiency (SOTE)

SOTE (Standard Oxygen Transfer Efficiency) is a characteristic of an aerator that indicates the percentage of the volume of oxygen supplied that was dissolved in clean water under the American Society of Civil Engineers’ testing standards. Oxygen Transfer Efficiency depends on bubbles size, air flow rate, layout, deep etc. and shape of the air plume.

Esmil Fiber Tube Diffusers with nanopores deliver exceptional SOTE, significantly outperforming old-generation tube diffusers.

Our diffusers utilize advanced nanopore technology, ensuring more efficient and uniform oxygen distribution. This results in superior aeration performance and energy savings compared to traditional diffusers that lack this cutting-edge design.

Easy Installation, Low CAPEX & OPEX

  • Fewer Pipes Needed: The design of Esmil Fiber Tube Diffusers allows for more efficient air distribution, reducing the need for extensive piping throughout the aeration tank. This simplifies installation and lowers material costs.
  • Fewer Manifolds Required: With their integrated design, Esmil Fiber Tube Diffusers act as their own air distribution network, significantly reducing the need for additional manifolds. This not only simplifies the system but also results in lower capital expenditure (CAPEX).
  • Very Easy Installation: The straightforward design of Esmil Fiber Tube Diffusers makes them incredibly easy to install. Whether you’re retrofitting an existing system or setting up a new one, the process is quick and hassle-free, saving both time and labor costs.

Minimal Pressure Loss

Here are the features of ESMIL Fiber Tube Diffusers that prevent pressure loss:

  • Optimized Design: Streamlined construction minimizes airflow resistance, maintaining consistent pressure.
  • Uniform Air Distribution: Even air distribution along the entire tube prevents pressure imbalances.
  • Precision Manufacturing: Precisely engineered to eliminate irregularities that could cause pressure losses.
  • Minimal Fouling: The diffuser material does not favor the accumulation of foulings on the surface, which maintains free airflow and stable pressure.

Unmatched Durability

  • Minimization of Biological Contaminants: The operation of ESMIL Fiber Tube diffusers has shown that they have a lower tendency to accumulate biological contaminants compared to membrane diffusers. This allows for consistent performance over a long period of operation without the need for frequent cleaning, as is the case with other solutions.
  • No Breakages: Esmil Fiber Tube Diffusers are built to be highly resilient, significantly reducing the risk of breakages that are more common with membrane diffusers, especially in challenging environments.
  • Long-Term Reliability: While membrane diffusers may degrade or tear over time, Esmil Fiber Tube Diffusers maintain their integrity and performance, offering a more durable and reliable solution.
  • Consistent Airflow: Without the issues of fouling or breakages, Esmil Fiber Tube Diffusers provide consistent airflow and efficiency throughout their service life, unlike membranes that can suffer from pressure losses as they age.

Short life-span diffusers

In the first photo, the diffuser plate was filled with mud, its membrane has hardened and teared up. In the next photo, the tube diffuser membrane has lost its elasticity and torn. In the last photo, the disc diffuser membranes have swollen, narrowed, hardened, and eventually ejected their support (pop-up).

Maintenance-Free Performance

Compared to other fine-bubble diffusers, Esmil Fiber Tube Diffusers are significantly less susceptible to biofilm development and do not require expensive maintenance work.

Maintenance Of Other Fine-Bubble Diffusers

  • Diffuser cleaning (1–2 years).
  • Membrane change (4–6 years).
  • Cleaning ex-situ: low pressure hosing (20 man-hours per 1 000 diffusers) + acid washing (60 man-hours per 1 000 diffusers) – 3,05 eur per diffuser.
  • Cleaning in-situ: gas cleaning – 0,34 eur per diffuser.

Esmil diffusers do not require maintenance!

How often should the staff carry out maintenance work to clean, wash or replace diffusers?

Tube Air Diffusers manufactured by Esmil are highly efficient and do not require cleaning, washing, replacement and other service work that is inevitable when using other types of air diffusers.

What makes Esmil Fiber Tube Diffusers installation procedure special?

Because of the threaded coupling design, fiber tube diffusers are assembled into branches up to 20 m long which are then connected to an air manifold via threaded branch adapters. This unique design requires less piping, no field welding and is quick and simple to install.

What is service life of Esmil Fiber Tube Diffusers?

Clog-resistant design of fiber tube diffusers results in their long low-maintenance service life that lasts for up to 8–12 years based on the experience of our clients.

What does the standard delivery set include?

Standard set of equipment includes:
