ESMIL ROcycle Water Reuse Systems help municipal and industrial facilities turn treated wastewater into a valuable water resource. By recovering water for reuse or providing final polishing for discharge, they help reduce freshwater demand, control operating costs and support sustainable water management.
Applications of the ESMIL ROcycle Reverse Osmosis System
ESMIL ROcycle Water Reuse Systems provide advanced treatment of pre-treated municipal and industrial effluents, producing water suitable for reuse in applications such as cooling or boiler systems, make-up water, irrigation, washing, rinsing or cleaning purposes, utility water, cleaning, solution preparation, process water and other industrial processes, subject to the required water quality.

Types of wastewater
ESMIL ROcycle systems are suitable for advanced treatment of the following pretreated wastewater streams:
- Existing industrial MBR
- Pre-treated landfill leachates and flu-gas condencates
- Existing municipal wastewater treatment plants
- Existing industrial effluents with low TSS feed (post DAF, MMF, AC, UF, NF)
- Boiler and cooling blowdown
How does the ESMIL ROcycle Water Reuse System work?
Unlike conventional RO systems originally designed for relatively clean water, ESMIL ROcycle is built to handle the challenging conditions of industrial effluents, combining specialised fouling-resistant membranes with a dedicated recirculation system that maintains high crossflow velocities, minimises fouling and enables higher water recovery rates providing with high quality water for reuse. Its wastewater-specific design, together with an optimised Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) regime, reduces cleaning frequency, chemical consumption and operating costs while extending membrane lifespan, ensuring reliable and efficient operation even with challenging wastewater streams.
Key components of the ESMIL ROcycle Membrane System
- Chemical dosing system
- Cartridge filter
- Reverse osmosis (RO) membrane skid
- Cleaning-in-place (CIP) system
- Control system and software
Specialised antifouling RO membranes
ESMIL ROcycle uses specialised antifouling RO membranes that protects membranes and allow longer operation between cleaning cycles. Compatibility with basic acids and alkalis simplifies maintenance, lowers cleaning costs and reduces dependence on specialised chemicals, supporting stable, long-term system performance.
What sets ESMIL Water Reuse System apart
STABLE PERFORMANCE, EVEN WITH CHALLENGING WASTEWATER
Designed for pre-treated municipal and industrial wastewater, ESMIL ROcycle Water Reuse Systems support stable operation across a range of feedwater conditions.
LOWER OPERATING COSTS
Reduce OPEX through less frequent membrane cleaning, lower chemical consumption and longer membrane service life.
HIGH WATER RECOVERY
Recover 75-95% of treated wastewater for reuse, depending on feedwater quality and system configuration. Reduce freshwater demand and make more use of the water already available at your facility.
LESS OPERATOR TIME, GREATER CONTROL
Advanced automation reduces the need for manual intervention, supports stable operation and simplifies day-to-day process control.
EASIER, MORE AFFORDABLE MAINTENANCE
Automated cleaning routines and an integrated CIP system simplify maintenance. Widely available acids and alkalis eliminate the need for costly specialised cleaning agents and reduce dependence on specific suppliers.
