Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a Process Engineer with experience in wastewater treatment and/or sludge management.
We also welcome candidates:
- with operational or service experience who are looking to develop towards design and process engineering roles
- with partial experience (e.g. only sludge dewatering or only biological/physico-chemical processes)
Responsibilities
- Selection and sizing of equipment for wastewater and sludge treatment systems
- Analysis of process data and troubleshooting of technological issues
- Participation in commissioning of installations
- Technical support for sales and project execution teams
- Conducting laboratory and pilot tests
- Site visits, process audits, and optimization of plant performance
Key Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Environmental, Process, Mechanical or related fields)
- Practical knowledge of wastewater treatment and/or sludge dewatering processes
- Understanding of:
- mass and load balances (BOD, COD, TSS, N, P)
- sludge thickening and dewatering (screw presses, belt presses, centrifuges)
- basic hydraulics and piping systems
- English proficiency (min. B2) – daily work in an international environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel (including international travel)
- Ability to work independently with good organizational skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in process design (process calculations, P&ID)
- Knowledge of sludge dewatering equipment and operation
- Experience at industrial or municipal treatment plants
- Familiarity with process modeling or simulation tools
- International experience
