At the end of October the specialists of Esmil Industrial Group in close cooperation with strategic Italian partner Italwisad provided pilot tests on the sludge from the dairy industry in the south of Italy. The main goal was achieving the highest dry solids content on the sludge after the dissolved air flotation unit.
After a lot of tries, it finally found the optimal ratio between the amount of polymer and screw rotation speed. The result was 33% of dry solids in the dewatered sludge, so it’s definitely possible to say that the goal was achieved.
After successful tests, we signed a contract for the supply of a multi-disc screw press and have already begun assembly of it at one of our factories.
