The commissioned system is poised to play a pivotal role in treating distillery waste with unparalleled efficiency and sustainability.
Utilising advanced Ultrafiltration (UF) technology, our system efficiently separates solids from the waste stream. These separated solids represent a valuable energy source and can be utilised as feedstock for Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plants. Additionally, with their nutrient–rich composition, the concentrated solids hold potential for integration into fodder production.
Then, the Ultrafiltration treated water, while still containing dissolved organics, undergoes further treatment through Reverse Osmosis (RO). This step concentrates the organics, resulting in treated water suitable for site discharge. The concentrate from RO can be blended with UF concentrate to maximise its value.
Thus, this groundbreaking project comprises three skids meticulously designed for optimal performance. The process begins with UF, effectively isolating solids, followed by RO to reduce soluble chemical oxygen demand (COD), and finally, a common cleaning skid to maintain system integrity. What sets our system apart is its seamless integration within specially designed weatherproof containers, ensuring durability and reliability even in challenging outdoor environments.
